Shantia Burke

My name is Shantia C. Burke, I am a senior biology major at Quinnipiac University and a freshman public relations major for my masters also at Quinnipiac University. I grew up in the state of Connecticut and my primary physician assistants at my primary physicians practice were students from Quinnipiac University which was one of the reasons I desired to attend this university. My career goals are to become a cardiologist after completing medical school and to become an event planner while pursuing my career in medicine. Medicine is life through God and science we are able to strive and help others. I have fallen in love with medicine because it is one of the most effective ways to help a vast population. My passion is helping others and with God through medicine I would be able to do such. A principle I live by is that life is full of whatever you make it and I will continue by following God to make my life enjoyable even during my difficult times because it all boils down to perspective.
