I was born in Saigon Vietnam. My parents met in Vietnam while my father was serving in the Korean War. My father retired in Vietnam, married and had 4 kids. We moved to the United States in 1975. During my primary years I lived in the local cities within the Los Angeles area,….I am currently working on my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management online. I am a General manager focused on maximizing profits through the delivery of world class customer service, the development of human capital, the growth of market share and the effective execution of business strategies. Starting my career in soft lines retail as a customer service clerk, I became a store manager at the age of 18 and from there moved upwards each year to bigger volume and challenges in the management field. I have been working in retail for over 25 years and as a store manager over 23 years . My most current role was being the Club Manager of Sam’s in Long Beach, Ca. As the General manager of the Long Beach Club, I had the responsibility of over 200 associates and running a multi- million dollar box. Through my accomplishments through out the years I have been recognized and given an award from the 25th Senate District “Women of Distinction” by Senator Rod Wright. Also was recently presented Business of the year while running Sam’s Club Gardena by the State of California.
I make sure that Sam’s Club stays involved in the community by supporting many organizations, causes and events. Through my commitment through several non-profit organizations in my years of management I have made a tremendous impact on the community with volunteerism and donations that has assisted people in need.
I am a mom with two kids and is a Specialist in Multi-Tasking Family and Work! Apart from my involvement in both children’s schools functions. My community involvement has been one of my major accomplishments, working with the Chamber of commerce, Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs, YMCA’s, one stop hiring centers, food banks, Children’s Miracle Network, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation has enriched my life in so many ways. I was also involved with the The Women in Leadership Sam’s Corp, a small elite group involved in providing tools and resources and mentorship to continue to encourage women to reach their business goals.
