Sharon Faith

Jacksonville, Florida, United States

Hi and thank you for stopping by…I am Sharon Faith, 45 years old from Oak Harbor Washington… that is the largest, and northern most city on Whidbey Island …a beautiful place nestled in the Puget Sound. I always feel very lucky to have been born into such an amazing part of the USA.
I have been obsessed with motorcycles from a very early age, really as long as I can remember. I had not had the chance to actually “drive” one before, however I had been on the back of many and was always watching the controls, wishing, wanting and hoping to own one someday.
Fast-forward many years and many lifetimes. Then one day as I was living in Wisconsin, after a really hard break up. In my devastation my girlfriends had rallied around me to help me pull the pieces of my life back together.
One of my “self esteem” assignments was to write down on a piece of paper all of the things I wanted to accomplish. One of those things was learn how to ride a motorcycle!
Little did I know that the devastating event that I thought had ended my life actually catapulted me into a world beyond my wildest dreams, created a tougher version of the woman that I had already known and introduced me to the wonderful and magical world of Motorcycling!
After the course, I had moved back to Florida, where I currently reside and it was here that I purchased my first motorcycle. That was a 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 500. I had no idea what sort of “biker” I was. So learning on this and riding with whomever I could find was an important part of my journey.
I put 25,000 miles on that bike before I discovered that I was a long distance adventure-seeking motorcyclist.
It was then that I fell in love with the Suzuki V-Strom 650, which is the bike that I currently have today.
To date I have put 40,000 miles on her since May 24th of 2010.
I have discovered a world of ADV riders and met many people who inspire me daily and formed friendships where we have the most special bond of adventure, danger, excitement, fun and the thrill of the ride.
