Shelbie Mathis

The rural community and tightly knit characteristics of a small town are deeply imbedded in my heart as I grew up in Amador county; a very small town just east of Sacramento. I really enjoy staying involved on campus and I place high value in the continuation of Feather River College Education. As a result, I have recently created a new position on campus where I have implemented highly effective recruiting techniques in my presentations to northern California high schools. My program will now act as a sustainable job to future students at Feather River College. Feather River College SIFE has given me extraordinary strength and confidence to accomplish inconceivable dreams. Aside from education, I find happiness in the beauty of nature. I mostly enjoy fishing, dirt biking, horseback riding, and spending quality time with my family. As a graduating student of Feather River College, I plan to transfer California State University, Sacramento to major in Communications.
