Shelby Nathans
Of-Counsel in Columbus, Ohio
I would rather write about anyone or anything other than myself.
I am Shelby Nathans. Voted “most responsible” in middle school and “most likely to host a talk show” in high school, I naturally combined those two qualities to become a lawyer.
I am a road trip enthusiast who hates doing the driving, and I’m currently on a quest to visit all 88 counties in the great State of Ohio (#All88intheBuckeyeState).
I am a problem solver by nature; I approach every obstacle in a thoughtful, calculated manner. I strive to make the most out of every obstacle and as a result, I am always learning.
My strength lies in my ability to communicate in a straightforward and sensible way. I don’t sugarcoat anything. I am a team player. I value my relationships the most and I am fiercely loyal to my family, friends and colleagues. I’ve got a reputation for giving a damn good wedding toast and this is my preferred method of public speaking.
I have a Standard Poodle named Stella who isn’t specifically named in honor of Stella Artois, but I serve it exclusively at her birthday parties and would be open to exploring an endorsement deal on her behalf.
By trade I am pragmatic and judicious, I make lists and check off boxes. I am also fiercely competitive. I am the commissioner of A League of Their Own, an all-girls, winner-takes-all fantasy football league. I’m also the current reigning champion.
I thrive when I have the chance to lead, but I know when to chill. And I strongly believe that “anything worth doing is worth doing right” (which is also a line from the movie, “A League of Their Own.”
