Simon N Hodnett
Head Men, Womens Track, and Field Coach in Brooklyn, NY
As the head coach of both the men’s and women’s track and field teams at Long Island University Brooklyn (LIU Brooklyn), Simon N Hodnett has received nine “Northeast Conference Coach of the Year” titles and three “Northeast Regional Coach of the Year” titles. In addition to working directly with athletes, he manages program budgets, coordinates all team purchasing, handles competition/training scheduling, and assists with public relations and information outreach. Simon N Hodnett also oversees team recruiting efforts.
Before becoming head coach in 2007, Simon N Hodnett served nearly a decade as an assistant LIU Brooklyn track and field coach. He also served three years as a LIU Brooklyn volunteer volleyball coach and four years as a LIU Brooklyn professor. Mr. Hodnett’s work as a professor included planning and leading courses that revolved around athletic conditioning as well as teaching various drills and techniques before assessing student performance through a combination of class evaluation and exams.
