Sky Whatley

ATLANTA, GA

For those who still believe in music that comes from the heart containing purity in sincere expression (flaws included), artists like Sky Whatley exist. One of the greatest things about being an artist is the ability to change and become who you want to be. During his earlier years, Sky Whatley had a sound that was coined as “hood rock” (proof that rock and hip-hop aren’t distant relatives), but closely related. Now, as all artists have the right to, Sky is now seeking expression from his other love: Soul music. Inspired by the greats like Prince, Sly Stone and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, he plans to add his twist on today's mainstream genre. His new direction will prove that honest music doesn’t have to lack quality. Sky further admits that he makes his music with “natural talent” and does not add "auto-tune.” With noteable contributions to Goodie Mob under his belt, 2013 offers to be a year filled with new hopes for the singer, producer and songwriter. Sky's new music is going to reflect the sounds of his fan-base: Eclectic, energized and unpredictable. That’s what real music is supposed to be.
