Mission

Sohco. is all about fostering socially responsible company(ies) (read: a social company around socially responsible companies). We believe that changing business behaviour is best achieved through changing consumer behaviour. Sohco. aims to inspire organic change towards social responsibility by engaging and connecting individuals with one another and with socially responsible products and businesses around us.

Why?

Because we got tired of procrastinating.

We got tired of hearing ourselves and the people around us talking about social responsibility like it was a throwaway line - something that would be nice to have but wasn't going to happen unless other people changed. Then it hit us: we are the other people. We have the ability to get the ball rolling, so what's stopping us? Then the cynic in our heads chimed in: no money, no time, no knowledge, no feeling like we're making a difference.

But what if we could make a difference? If we could change patterns and create behaviour through engagement. Sohco. is a social platform and information hub that engages and connects socially-inclined individuals with one another and with socially responsible products and businesses around us.

How?

RIPPLE: Everyone has a thumb and a voice. Let's use our thumbs and voices in a simple, fun and engaging way to do good. Sohco. provides a platform where individuals thumb and comment on socially responsible products and brands rated as doing good.

REWARD: We all know of a business that is doing good. Sohco. promotes good business behaviour by nominating businesses and profiling why they are socially responsible. Sohco is an information hub that leaves crumbs of simple, interesting and honest information that listeners pick up, support and amplify. We reward good businesses and you show them the love.

RECEIVE: You receive when you feel connected. Sohco. gives individuals a space to build connections, voice thoughts, learn about socially responsible business behaviour in an honest and simple way. That is why we call Sohco. a platform+hub.
