Sonia D'Costa

I live in Mangalore, the most beautiful place in the world. Since I have the loveliest little boy in the whole world, I am the luckiest mother in the whole world. Being a mother is the most important thing in my life. It is tough, challenging, exciting, and interesting, and I love every moment of it.

I write for a living and blog for fun. I have read that bloggers make millions out of their blogs. I have no idea how that is done, but I am curious to know what this blog can do for me.

And ... oh ... my educational qualification? Yes, I do know how to read and write. I actually managed to get a II rank in MA English literature at Mangalore University. I spent part of my life teaching college. I still love teaching, but I prefer teaching my way, not as prescribed in schools and colleges.

I am atheist, skeptic, and rationalist. At the same time, I am interested in gods and religions. In fact, I am interested in everything--from gossip to trying out a new dish to keeping chickens to reading the latest science news. Everything!

I love nature, photography, reading, writing, people, lifestyle, culture, science, drawing, cooking, blogging, photo editing, learning new things, and so on and so on. The list is endless. But I am not a saint. There are some things I just cannot stand--rote learning, stinking armpits, potholes, stinking socks, most vegetables, and things like that.

I am deeply interested in life. I love life and believe in living it to the lees. I am also a great admirer and follower of the Wiccan Rede: "Do what you will, so long as it harms none."
