"Like No Other" explains it all. Straight from the land were movies like "Cooley High", "Candy Man" and the notorious T.V. show "Good Times" was filmed. Spex, grew up in the heart of Chicago's very own Cabrini Green Projects. Face with violence and negative energy throughout his community, Spex utilizes his urban experience to create a vocal picture. Writing poetry since the age of 10, playing the... trumpet at 12, and now producing Hip-Hop and R&B; music for himself and other artist. Spex passion for music is reflected through Hip-Hop using a unique approach to capture the true essence of story telling. Spex is ready to do it all with no major record deal. At the age of 27, this multi talented individual performed throughout many clubs, colleges, talent shows etc. The Chicago Tribune named him Cabrini Greens poster boy. Featured in March edition of 08s (Good Magazine), Spex voices his opinion on the changes going on not only in his demolished neighborhood, but throughout Chicago's low income developments. Spex is currently working with Lower North Graffix on a one of a kind documentary called Voice of The Greens.
