If there has been a theme in my life and career it would have to be: “Strategy Achieves Success.” Like Alice, you might eventually get somewhere without knowing where you are heading, but without a destination — and a strategy to get there — you are just wandering in Wonderland.

Who am I? While my resume seems to indicate that I’m a marketing “suit,” clients and colleagues alike rarely classify me in that box. I’m more of a “creative” that can barely draw, an earth-shifting idea person that also deftly manages millions of dollars and grows business based on fact-based insights plus gut instincts. I am a passionate student and enthusiastic teacher of marketing — I spend as much time exploring the merchandising as I do the merchandise (no one ever wants to go shopping with me). I engage total strangers to ask their thoughts on advertising, jingles, promotions, and packaging. When I’m in a foreign country or simply outside of my home market, I always have an electronics store, liquor store, grocery store, or drug store visit on my itinerary.

I believe that there are some aspects of marketing that can be learned, but passion, creativity, and a natural sense of strategy are innate. When you're lost and need to regain your sense of direction, call on me. Let me be your tour guide.
