I have directed Content Marketing Campaigns for over 60 brands, and guided many of those teams through the writing process of creating Brand Guidelines, Employee Manuals, Blogs, Newsletters, Video Scripts, and eBooks.

How I Got Started ...

If you don’t count the series of short stories that I wrote in the fourth grade, you could say that I began my journey as a writer in high school when I co-founded the first edition of our school newspaper in 20 years. I went on to be News Editor and eventually Editor-in-Chief of my college newspaper. I completed an internship with Fox News in Philadelphia, where I learned to combine a little personality and charm with my ability to tell a story. I've worked with poetry for literary journals, script writing for television & film, as well as extensive copyediting projects.

Just about 10 years ago, I moved to Austin, Texas and took a corporate position in Advertising / Marketing for a large financial institution. I drove the company message, and learned to shorten long financial documents into hearty snippets of content for customer newsletters. This experience made it easy for me to transition into content strategy for a variety of clients. It was about this time that digital marketing and Social networking emerged as a puzzle for traditional media folks to solve. This is a large portion of my focus today.
