Over the course of his career in digital media, Stephen Blackwell has cultivated and promoted technologies that encourage dynamic interactions and expand the reach of creative work. In 2009, he founded lifestyle and music brand Death and Taxes, which he led as CEO before facilitating the company's sale to SpinMedia. Stephen Blackwell then became CEO of SpinMedia, where he oversaw such well-known brands as SPIN and VIBE.

Effective in reaching more than 30 million individual visitors throughout the world, Stephen Blackwell also developed connections with a number of Fortune 500 brands interested in engaging with the Millennial cohort. He arranged high-value partnerships with such globally prominent brands as Microsoft, Toyota, Budweiser, and American Airlines, among others. Mr. Blackwell continued to guide SpinMedia, which became Spin Media Group, through its sale to The Billboard-Hollywood Reporter Media Group in 2016.

Brought on board as chief strategy officer of Billboard-Hollywood Media Group, Mr. Blackwell oversaw such functions as digital operations and overall corporate development. He now applies his digital media expertise as a board member with the startup human influence entity Rep.
