Stephen Krzyston, an attorney with Cavanaugh and Thickens, brings substantial litigation experience to the table. While attending the College of Charleston, Stephen Krzyston was the president of Sigma Nu Fraternity and studied political science, earning a bachelor of science in 2009.

Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Krzyston enrolled in the Charleston School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate. Before entering law school, Stephen Krzyston interned at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, in Washington D.C., where he assisted trial attorneys with strategically employed investigative tasks, including the collection of strategically important witness statements and the creation of crime scene reconstructions.

In 2010, Stephen Krzyston took on the role of law clerk to a plaintiff's attorney in Alexandria, Virginia, where he helped with the preparation and research of plaintiff's filings in Virginia's federal and state courts. The following year, he completed a clerkship at the Capital Trial Division of South Carolina's Commission on Indigent Defense, located in Columbia, South Carolina. There, his responsibilities included assisting attorneys exclusively on cases where the defendant had been notified that the State of South Carolina was seeking the death penalty. In 2012, Stephen Krzyston took on the position of law clerk at Charleston County Public Defender, further honing his legal research and case preparation skills. That same year, Mr. Krzyston successfully earned his Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law.
