Stephen Nagle
Stephen Nagle, Vice President of Phillips Family Hospitality, graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in Business Management and from Boston College with a Master of Science degree in Business Studies. Stephen Nagle comes from a long line of chocolatiers, and his family still owns and operates Phillips Candy House in Boston. Founded in 1925, Phillips Candy House is Boston’s oldest chocolate factory. The company owes its sweet success to the fact that the chefs make small batches of candy by hand. They cook their creamy, old-fashioned fudge over an open flame, and they use only the highest-quality ingredients in their recipes. They also roast by hand all the almonds, pecans, cashews, and other nuts before incorporating them into the recipes. Besides working with family members at Phillips Candy House, Stephen Nagle also manages several other family businesses. As the Vice President of Phillips Family Hospitality, he played an instrumental role in establishing several successful companies in the Boston area. One of these very popular establishments is Phillips Boston Banquets & Meetings, an elegant meeting place for weddings, social events, and corporate affairs. Other family-owned companies in the Boston area that Stephen Nagle operates include the Deadwood Café and Brewery, Boston Bowl, and Freeport Tavern. Dedicated to providing excellent service to all visitors to the Phillips Family Hospitality businesses, Stephen Nagle has received praise and recognition from many quarters. Reviewers in the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, and the Phantom Gourmet, Inc., noted in particular Stephen Nagle’s attention to detail. In his spare hours, Stephen Nagle enjoys spending time with his four children. An avid runner, Stephen Nagle has also run a number of marathons, including both the Boston Marathon and the ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon in 2008.
