The recipient of a bachelor's degree in business and MBA with a focus in finance from Texas Christian University, Steve Antry is a Tulsa, OK-based energy executive and award-winning blues musician. Regarding his executive career in the energy sector, Steve Antry served as CEO and chairman of the board of Beta Oil and Gas from 1997 to 2004, during which time he led the public exploration, production, and acquisition company from inception to become one of the top 200 oil and gas producers in the US, according to the Oil and Gas Journal, before being a part of creating the well publicized PetroHawk Energy though a merger and name change.
Steve Antry founded Eagle Energy in 2009 and was an early pioneer in horizontally drilling the Mississippian formation in Northwestern Oklahoma. The company was listed at No. 1 on the Oklahoma Journal Record's list of the 40 fastest-growing companies in Tulsa in 2012, after the majority of its assets were sold for $650 million. The company's latest iteration is Eagle Resources Group, LLC.
While he boasts more than four decades of experience in the oil and gas sector, Mr. Antry has pursued interests in music in recent years, including the release of a debut album that reached the top tier of the Roots Music Charts. His band, Antry Music, was named Best Blues Band in Tulsa in 2017 , was nominated for the Best Blues Artist at the 2018 Tulsa Music Awards and has opened for prominent international blues acts like Eric Gales and Anthony Gomes. They have had the honor of playing such iconic venues as SXSW, Cain's Ballroom, House of Blues and Hard Rock.
