"If I die tomorrow, I have lived a full life." - Steve Daly

My life has, like almost every other person on the planet, been a series of ups, downs and plateaus. I’m not one to highlight myself or past accomplishments nor am I one to “toot my own horn” but I guess that is what this Bio is for to some extent.

I have been interested in computers and gaming since I was nine years old and my Mom bought me an Atari 2600. It wasn’t long before I told her that I needed a computer and she humored me and got me an Atari 2400 with a Tape Drive and Basic Cartridge. I was off and running! The first thing I did was design the intro to a Dungeons & Dragons game I had been planning in my head. Oh the painstakingly monotonous uses of X, Y and Z coordinates and simple Vector Graphics!!! From here I went on to the Commodore 64, TRS 80, Apple IIe and the Amiga.

I took a short break from anything computer but was still an avid gamer owning all manor of console systems from the aforementioned Atari’s as well as Colecovision, Intellivision, Nintendo (all varieties), Sega (all varieties) and even a Turbo Graphix.

It wasn’t until the late nineties that I got back into the Personal Computer market and bought a Gateway (350Mhz Pentium II, 256MB RAM and a 10GB HDD). Well the Gateway got infected with the Chernobyl virus and I had to replace and reimage the HDD. I called Gateway Customer Service and the guy was on the phone with me for over 8 hours. It was then I decided that I would never do that again and I learned everything I could about IBM style PC’s.

My gaming name has always been "EvilDawg" since it was givent to me after playing Unreal Tournament with friends and sniping them from my distant hiding place they would say, "You're evil, dog. Evil." Thus, the legend was born...

Now I am the main IT point of contact for Hyundai Motors California Proving Grounds as well as their Powertrain facility in Chino, CA and I do everything from cabling to network installation and maintenance and desktop support to project planning for new facilities. I have been in telecom since 1997 when I went to work for Northcoast Internet in Eureka, CA
