Steve Shillingford Signal Peak

An advisor at Signal Peak Ventures, Steve Shillingford leverages his expertise in technology company management, sales, and operations to help entrepreneurs realize their goals in launching a new business. Through Signal Peak, he mentors such clients as Infusionsoft and Aspen Avionics. Concurrently, Steve Shillingford sits on the boards of Perspecsys and eFileCabinets and offers guidance to Mod N Labs, a cybersecurity startup incubator based in San Francisco, California.

Prior to these positions, he served as the chief executive officer of Solera Networks in South Jordan, Utah. He oversaw the development and marketing of such products as Solera DeepSee, a service for identifying threats and developing solutions to respond to attacks. Under his management, the company made its mark as a leader in big data security analytics and network forensics. He also fulfilled numerous requests to speak about security intelligence and analytics and advanced threat protection during his six-year tenure.

He holds a bachelor of science in psychology from Brigham Young University. In addition, he earned a master of business administration from Columbia University and the University of California.
