Steven H Gifis

As managing director of Lawrence, New Jersey-based Hudson Renewables, Steven H. Gifis acquires solar panels and provides consulting to companies in the solar power industry. He advises solar panel manufacturers and system providers in several areas, including project finance planning, contract negotiations, business growth, and government relations. Additionally, in his position as director of business development for Suntuity, Steven H. Gifis sources, coordinates, and executes solar energy projects. He also acts as executive vice president for Nanergy Solar.

Extensively experienced in the sustainable energy industry, Mr. Gifis co-founded EPV Solar in 1991 and served as the company’s vice president and chief operating officer for over 15 years. During his tenure with EPV, he directed functions ranging from accounting to information technology for a business with an international clientele and more than $10 million in annual revenue. He also handled government relations and helped write the New Jersey solar incentive legislation that resulted from the B.E.T.T.E.R. lobbying campaign.

Complementing his work in the green energy sector, Steven H. Gifis contributes to the Environmental Defense Fund and Heifer International to support environmental and humanitarian efforts that utilize sustainable practices.
