Steven Schlesinger

After earning his JD, Steven Schlesinger joined Wager Winick Ginsberg Ehrlich and Hoffman in 1976. Since then, he’s assumed the position of managing partner and CEO of the firm, which is now called Jaspan Schlesinger LLP and based in Garden City, New Jersey. In his executive role, Steven Schlesinger governs and represents the firm, which involves chairing partner meetings and keeping partners apprised of firm activities. He also monitors the firm's financial performance. On the revenue side, he handles bills rendered and accounts receivable, and on the expense side he focuses on budget compliance. Additionally, he hires and orients new personnel, which includes recruitment efforts and interviews.

Steven Schlesinger is particularly interested in trial law, appellate argument, and election law as well as commercial litigation and partnership disputes. He studied law at Hofstra University School of Law and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. He belongs to the Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association and has also contributed to several publications, including Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts, 4th Edition.
