Sumit Dutta Chowdhury

I haved worked in various leadership capacities managing industry professionals in large, hyper-growth companies in developed and emerging markets. I have lived and worked in India, the US, Australia and worked on assignments in many other countries across the world.

My upcoming book - Rules of the Game, is being published by Bloomsbury and will be available from April 2014.

I have always been an intrapreneur. However, externally I have been mentoring, angel funding, and incubating several start-up companies in diverse areas like health-care research, mobile & internet technologies, Health & IT Services. I am associated with the Mumbai Angels Group.

I am an active speaker at industry conferences and often called upon for television interviews on technology and management issues. You can follow my blog on this topic.

My education - started with Jesuit schooling at Loyola School and leading to engineering at IIT Kanpur followed by MS and Ph.D from Carnegie Mellon University. I also got a diploma from Australian Institute of Company Directors polished my work experience with structured Corporate Governance skills.

I am an artist having had exhibitions in San Francisco. I am a trained musician and the piano-accordion as my instrument of choice. I am an active Marathon runner, cyclist and swimmer, having run several half and full marathons. I support various charities through my activities.
