1999 to 2000--Inaugural Rabbi, Young Israel of Bal Harbour Duties included teaching, public speaking, counseling, bikur cholim, nichum aveilim, conducting services, arranging holiday observances (e.g. sukkah, Yamim Noraim services, Shavuot hupah & tikun, synagogue set up, etc.)
*Initiated weekly humash/Torah class
*Initiated Shabbat parshah and halakhah classes

*Wrote, printed and mailed out HADASHOT, the synagogue's newsletter
*Wrote Divrei Torah that were printed by National Counsel of Young Israel (and distributed throughout their 200 member synagogues)
*Wrote defense of synagogue that was printed in response to a MIAMI HERALD editorial condemning the synagogue in its lawsuit against the town of Surfside.
*Set up aliyah system to insure equal distribution of synagogue honors
*Worked constantly to keep children involved (gelilah, holding havdalah candle)
