Just a simple southern girl who has followed her heart. The middle child in a family of five girls in a tiny three bedroom house with one bathroom (mornings were frantic and loud) we grew up with proper manners and got into our fair share of trouble. As a child I loved climbing trees, riding my bike and riding any horse I could get on. I love horses so much I used to pretend I was one and let my sisters ride on my back.

My father was an architect and enjoyed community service as a town council member for a number of years and eventually serving as mayor of our town. He was passionate about the urban development of our county. He always saw the big picture of what could be. I idolized my Dad and learned a lot from him.

I have been an architect all my life even as a little girl building shoe box houses with Kleenex tissue for curtains to a brick house with a plywood roof to tree forts. I preferred hammer, nails and screw drivers to dolls and dress up clothes. I got teased by Santa one year because I asked for a train, a bike and a tool belt. He called me a Tom-boy. I was so embarrassed I made sure I asked for at least one doll every year after that.

I am a registered Architect and happily married today to a wonderful man who has a passion for cars, motorcycles and speed. I learned to ride my own Sportster; a birthday gift from him on my 54th birthday. We ride on weekends and it's a blast. We have three grown children who are currently out sowing their wild oats. They are all living on their own and none are married which is good because I am not ready to be a Grandma yet. That will be another chapter. Stay tuned!
