T.E.V:

Tevonne Hemmans of Brooklyn, NY, has been developing his knack for recording since the early age of 10. Having a producer for an uncle and unlimited access to a recording studio was all he needed to express himself. It wasnt until 2006, with the explosion of Myspace, that Tevonne now known as T.E.V (The Educated Voice) would realize that his love for music could be a career path. T.E.V’s passion for music and art, led him to create his own brand called Creative Boys Culture, which began as a collective of local teens with their individual talents in photography, skateboarding, graphic design, music, choreography, modeling, acting and video directing, but later grew into a clothing line which was soon featured in popular Japanese streetwear magazine, WARP. Coincindentally, the cover of that issue featured one of TEV music influences, Pharrell Williams. He also cites Biggie and Lupe Fiasco as influences.. Now 18 y/o, T.E.V has been featured in a video for New Era’s “Fly Your Own Flag” web campaign and a 3D-animated BlackBerry commercial was made for his song “BBM Mail”. He’s also made an appearance on BET 106 & Park stage performing his single “Oh Yeah”. He is currently attending The University of New Haven on a full scholarship for Track & Field and will of course continue recording and performing his music on campus, and other colleges and high schools whenever possible. Recently, T.E.V began the “Stop Bullying High School Tour” sponsored by University Of New Haven, Wataah Water, and Entree Clothing and also featuring 18 y/o multi-talented female rapper/singer/dancer JOIE.
