Terrance Jones

Terrance Maurice Jones is Assistant Marketing Director at North Carolina Central University in the Department of Athletics, with responsibility for marketing programs, brand management, and corporate sponsorships. Prior to joining NCCU Athletics, he worked in Program Development for North Carolina Central University Recreation and Wellness, and served in leadership positions in the United States Marine Corps. Notable is his two years as President of Student Activities at NCCU as well as being crowned Mr. NCCU his senior year.

Terrance's greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the reach of NCCU Athletics. His most recent project involved a strategic partnership with local businesses in the Durham, North Carolina region to bring his department's annual giving campaign to one of the fastest growing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). This resulted in annual revenue of over $300,000.

In 2009 and 2010 Terrance was recognized with the Wings of Change Award by the Department of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management for outstanding student leadership and vision. Other honors include being selected as the Omega Man of the Year for the 6th District of Omega Psi Phi two years in a row and being certified as a National Student Leader in 2008.

Terrance holds a Bachelors of Science degree from North Carolina Central University and is currently attending the same university to obtain his MPA. He lives in Durham, NC and enjoys volunteering in the community, spending time with daughter Tadaisha and attending sporting events. In his free time, Terrance likes to ride sports bikes and travel when time permits.
