Scientist, educator, and technologist with 30 years of experience. He has co-authored over 25 scientific publications, journal articles, and peer-reviewed papers. Dr. Lavian serves as an expert witness - patent cases in the areas of network communications, and telecommunications, including Internet protocols, streaming media, and mobile wireless technologies. He is the named inventor of over 120 issued and filed patents. He served as Principal Investigator (PI) for three US Department of Defense (DARPA) projects.
