Tamra Lynn Smith is the founder of Project Troops & a (then Blue Star Army Mom.) She started Project Troops when her son was serving in the army and stationed in Iraq in 2007. It all started quite by accident with the first song that she wrote for her son and just kept getting bigger and bigger on its own. Military affilitaed people started hearing the songs and they started joining her groups. Before she realized it, there were thousands of military friends following her music. She has had 11 Top 30 indie chart hit songs since 2008. Project Troops started because of one mother who was trying to protect her son from the military and its unfair acts of discharging military members who suffer from PTSD and other mood disorders.
Tamra writes life, love & relationship articles with Professor Thomas W. Nagle & They just published their first book. They run several websites that offer free support articles but you need to buy the book. "I Think We Need To Talk" Available on Amazon.com & in all e book formats. This book will change your life in a great way. Tamra helps many charities raise money by donating her music. See http://projecttroops.org & http://tipsforlove.net
This is about making a difference to others. If we help one homeless veteran or can educate people about PTSD, suicide in returning soldiers, which is at an all time high, help a Gold Star Family know they are not alone. Then all the work we do is worth it. Music can calm a tortured soul.
Tamra was an OTR Truck driver for 8 years until she was injured & was forced to medically retire in 2008. She drove a million miles without an accident across the USA. Tamra has been in every state in America.
