Tara Fagan
Senior Advisor, Learning Innovation in Wellington, New Zealand
Tara is Senior Advisor, Learning Innovation at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and is responsible for enabling innovative learning experiences for learners of all ages through engagement with Te Papa’s collections, exhibitions, cultural and scientific resources, and the Learning Lab. Prior to joining the Te Papa Team, Tara was part of the CORE Education professional learning team and advisor, blended and digital. In this role, Tara worked with early childhood centres and schools as they re-imagine their learning environments. She is passionate about engaging and supporting all learners.
Tara is interested in education for today’s society including new media and digital fluency, emerging technologies, communities of learning to strengthen professional development and supporting the connections between formal and informal learning.
Tara is currently exploring how the maker movement, computational thinking and robotics foster and support the learning process.
