Reviving our city one block at a time.

The mission of the Block Church in Philadelphia is to bring a spirit of revival and restoration to a city torn apart by race, politics, economic destitution, and religion. Philadelphia is city that once thrived on the ideals of freedom, liberty, opportunity and spirituality, but somewhere along the way these ideals were lost. The Block Church intends to shine the love of Jesus where the spirit of darkness has taken residence throughout Philadelphia--starting with the neighborhood of Port Richmond.

The idea for our Christian church and mission comes from Isaiah 58:12: “And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.”
The Block Church is founded on reviving people and our city to what they once were. Our focus is on transforming people and lives through God-given moments and messages.
