The 'Feminist Car Commercial' Film

London

Three interconnecting films made to look like genuine car commercials form the basis of this short campaigning film.

Crewed entirely by award winning women (with the exception of the odd male actor and of course, producer, Paul Atherton).

Oscar Winning Carly SImon, BAFTA Nominated Natalie Holt, NY IMATS MakeUp Winner, Sara Menitra, Underwire Winners, Editor, Prano Bailey-Bond and Cinematographer Gabi Norland are just some of the hundred crew involved.

The Actors have appeared in films ranging from Harry Potter to Anna Karinina from The Muppets to Wolfman.

The purpose of the film to highlight female film making talent in the UK and to show advertisers how their marketing communications should be devised for women.

Rather than objectify them, realise they are actually a large proportion of the buying market and treat them with respect.

Made with entirely no budget, and with everyone volunteering their time, to show just how committed film-makers are to the issue, The Feminist Car Commercial will get it's premiere at the BFI Southbank in September 2013 before being available online.
