The SnK Wildlife Reserve
The SnK is 408 Acres that has been family owned ranchland since 1936, but as of 2011 The SnK has become a wildlife reserve. Although closed to open hunting, The SnK does welcome wildlife watchers upon private authorization.
The SnK is located at the junction of the Black Land Prairie, Post Oak Savanna and Coastal Prairie ecosystems. The land was over grazed for years and now has been dedicated to wildlife and land conservation. Horses will be used as a range management tool from here on.
Our mission at the SnK Reserve is to manage the land for its betterment and to provide a quality environment to enhance the proliferation and substantiation of indigenous plants and wildlife, all the while providing for the enjoyment of others who share similar interests.
