Sterling Anno

Murrieta, CA

Born in Fullerton, CA and having inhabited every county neighboring it at one point in time, Sterling is a Southern Californian gypsy on a personal mission to challenge the postmodern definition of "Art". A filmmaker, field journalist, illustrator, project coordinator, video editor and writer of nonfiction; Sterling considers himself to be anything but a traditional artist.

A documentarian with over 7 years of industry experience(often ridiculed by his peers for "wasting his talents on films without a traditional narrative"), Sterling is no stranger to the wonderful world of controversy and age old legend of "The Truth". Having an obsession with reality and how various slabs of carbon deal with it, not a single colleague's cold shoulder has deterred him from keeping his eyes on the road.

Aside from making films, Sterling is also Manager of Operations for the Oceanside International Film Festival and has a hand in making sure other great makers of cinema find their audience. He has had a stake in honoring various influential entities with lifetime achievement awards such as; Animator Everett Peck, Non-ficton Filmmaker Jeffrey Durkin and Legendary Voice Actor Jon St. John. Besides working for OIFF, Sterling has also lent his abilities to the Temecula Valley Film and Music Festival as well as Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation.

Sterling's editing experience includes;

  • Final Cut Pro/Express(All Versions)
  • Adobe Premier 6
  • Sony Vegas Pro 12

Sterling is available for hire as a freelance contractor for any stage of production development. He can be reached on any of the various outlets featured below, commonly registered under his internet alias; "The Spork Guy".
