Theo Fowles

Theo is a two time Trojan, currently as a USC Rossier School of Education doctoral student and having graduated in 2005 with a degree in Cinema Studies from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. In 2007, Theo earned a Masters degree in Teaching from Pace University [New York City]. A Teach For America Alum, Theo taught English & ESL for three years in the Bronx before returning to the City of Angels.

Theo is an educator and social entrepreneur at heart, with a specific interest in the role that media plays in educating youth. Theo has been a presenter at various forums, including Social Media Week LA (2012) the African-American Male Academy at Azusa Pacific University (2011) and the Digital Media and Learning Conference (2011). Theo is a facilitator of Black Leaders Online Generating Generations Empowered by Real Success [B.L.O.G.G.E.R.S.] through the Los Angeles community organization Message Media Ed.

Theo is currently the Social Media Coordinator for California Youth Connection (CYC) a youth led organization that develops leaders who empower each other and their communities to transform the foster care system through legislative and policy change.
