Theresa Bruno
Birmingham, Alabama, United States
Theresa Bruno's reputation for well-positioned marketing has been growing for 28 years. Having earned a master of arts at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Theresa Bruno returned to that institution for a variety of creative work.
Ms. Bruno's previous experience includes positions as an advertising director for Regions Bank and a partner-creative director for the Perry Harper and Perry agency. In 2005, she formed her own consulting company and in 2009 began a professional relationship with UAB.
When the head of UAB's marketing and public relations program resigned, the university selected Ms. Bruno as its interim director. Though well-qualified for the position, she handed over the reins to a successor after devising a large-scale media campaign for the university. She was also active in UAB's arts program, adding new programming for the campus entertainment center and enlarging the scope of educational and therapeutic offerings.
Theresa Bruno expresses her own creativity through Jordan Alexander, Inc., for which she creates original jewelry designs. Formerly a style columnist for the Huffington Post, she also produced a documentary about Y2K that was broadcast on PBS. She has also received several honors from the American Advertising Federation.
