Theta Epsilon Deltas
Greetings from the Theta Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!
Before being nationally recognized as a chapter, the women of Theta Epsilon existed as a community service group known as Nu Delta. Nu Delta consisted of 19 vivacious women who had a desire to dissocialize from the sororities on Bradley University's campus in an effort to better serve the campus and the surrounding community of Peoria, Illinois. Their efforts were recognized by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and the Theta Epsilon Chapter was chartered February 13, 1971.
Since being charted, it has been a dynamic organization on campus participating in community service, hosting blood drives, administering fundraisers, encouraging students to vote, and all the while receiving numerous awards including the 2012 Dr. Romeo B. Garrett "Student Organization Leadership" Award. With the induction of new, innovative and hardworking women, Delta Sigma Theta has become one of the leading and largest African American sororities on the campus of Bradley University.
