Capable of setting goals and ensuring that he is able to reach them, Thomas Altimont is a hardworking and determined individual who also believes in the ability of other people to reach their own goals. Thankful for his college sports background, Mr. Altimont is glad to have imbibed the value of hard work and dedication from his baseball athlete days and apply them to his personal and career life. Thomas hopes to be able to build a career in the sales, banking, insurance or finance industry in a matter of time. He coaches Little League Baseball in the Abilene, Texas Area. Thomas loves imparting lessons to his young wards ages 8 to 14 on baseball, leadership and team and relationship skills development.
Named Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week by the Southland Conference Sports Media on March 23, 2015, Thomas Altimont was also named to the top 20 prospect list in the Athletes in Action Baseball league by PerfectGameUSA scouting services. Mr. Altimont was part of the Student Mobilization project for the Kaleo Summer Internship in May 2013 to July 2013. The Summer Internship program involved multiple service projects around the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area. From August 2014 to May 2015, Mr. Altimont served as Treasurer for the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) of the NCAA. He participated in the completion of service projects while playing a high level of collegiate summer baseball when he was Pitcher for the Athletes in Action Baseball League from June 2014 until August 2014. He pitched for the Chugiak Chinooks, part of the Athletes in Action Organization, during the 2014 summer in the Alaska Baseball League.
Thomas Altimont took part in the Invite Only Pre-Major League Baseball Draft Workout for the San Diego Padres in May 2015. In September 2011, Mr. Altimont joined the NJCAA Region 5 All-Star/NJCAA Region 5 Baseball Coaches and pitched in the 2011 TX/NM Junior College All Star Game at Baylor University.
