A resident of Windsor, Connecticut, Thomas “Tommy” DeFranzo guides Tommys Twin Mill Garage and focuses on creating striking new hot rod concepts. Thomas DeFranzo and his business partner are known for an ability to create life-size Hot Wheels-inspired cars. In creating new concepts, he draws on an extensive background in amateur motocross and professional race car driving.
Mr. DeFranzo maintains an active presence on the auto show circuit and is an annual attendee of the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where his creations have achieved recognition as the most photographed. He also took part in the Syracuse Nationals at the New York State Fairgrounds in 2019, and a Mustang dragster developed at his garage won the Showstopper Award at the World of Wheels in Boston.
A decade ago, Tommy DeFranzo was in the news with his planned launch of the Windsor Worldwide Studios in a converted warehouse-like space. With the Connecticut facility having first seen use for Mototown USA dirt bike racing, Thomas DeFranzo envisioned a sound stage-equipped studio that would support expansive concept-to-completion filmmaking.
