Tom Nuzzi
A graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a doctorate in educational and organizational leadership, Dr. Thomas Nuzzi has extensive experience in educational administration. Throughout his career, he has worked as an assistant principal, principal, and superintendent in several different school systems. Dr. Thomas Nuzzi maintains a reputation as an administrator able to adjust readily to new situations and achieve diverse goals, whether related to building projects, curriculum and school performance, changing administrative structures, or other circumstances. Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Thomas Nuzzi oversaw the merging of two schools into one larger school and established a computer-assisted learning project in the Hernando County Schools in Florida. As a principal at Startown Elementary School in Catawba County, North Carolina, Dr. Nuzzi oversaw an increase in state test scores from 76% to 89% and raised over $100,000 for technology investments. In the St. George Community Consolidated School District in Illinois, where he worked as superintendent, he reversed a $975,000 deficit to achieve a $1 million surplus over four years and completed a $6.7 million construction project, increasing the size of a school. District test scores rose each year during his tenure at St. George. In addition to his doctorate in education, Dr. Thomas Nuzzi holds specialist degrees in educational leadership and administration and supervision. He also earned a masters of science in secondary education from Queens College. A skilled baseball player, Dr. Tom Nuzzi was drafted by the New York Yankees when he finished college, and today he coaches Little League. He also gives his time and resources to The Humane Society of the United States, Junior Achievement, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, among other causes.
