me: I'm a dancer

Did you know that the dance floor was the first platform where blacks and whites shared a space in a social setting without any prejudice or discrimination (The Savoy Ballroom in Harlem.) in America. THE fore-runner of civil rights, and desegregation was none other than DANCE. I believe that this vehicle for social change has not lost its potency and has much more mileage on it before it tuckers out. When I see dance, I see redemptive reconciliation. Since that is what the Gospel does...I can't wait to see the change that God wants to bring in the world through our creative movements.

I recently graduated from Slippery Rock University, and am currently employed with the CCO (http://bit.ly/NaOAUi, bit.ly/NVkz99). To be honest, I'm a quote-fanatic, and I love the quote where Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." My work as a campus minister is to transform college students who will transform the world, and I love every minute of it. It is a blast to mentor, challenge, wrestle with and even cry with those that God is actively pursuing, engaging, convicting and comforting to int turn become pursuers, conquerors and comforters.

Oh, and I'm in a Joy Ike music video, lol.
