Timothy is a Media, Technology and Telecommunication Crusader, Enthusiast and Practitioner with a bias for commercial and leadership facets. He served in various capacities and roles for over 15 years in the Media and Marketing industry. He has amassed relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes that put him on a pedestal in delivering value to organization’s.
He is Currently Lead, Group Digital Assets and Partnerships at Royal Media Services a market-facing role that engages the organizational assets towards a digital transformation trajectory and offering partnership opportunities to the stakeholders. As the immediate former Nation Media’s Group General Manager, Broadcast Radio Division, he led the division towards its diversification. During his tenure, he steered the digital innovation strategy that placed the radio stations on digital platform. This strategy was aligned to the group strategy of digital first. He championed the convergence of organisational operations successfully midwifed the integration of the Radio commercial and editorial teams to the larger organisation teams. He also spearheaded key partnerships with Universities, Professional bodies and public entities to spread the footprint and influence of the organisation.
Timothy is a Certified Data Scientist from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Certified Organisational Effectiveness Coach from International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Chartered Marketer from the Chartered Institute of Marketing -CIM.
He is currently pursing PHD Studies in Corporate Governance at International Leadership University and holds a Masters in Organisational Leadership from the same university. He Holds a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Maseno University and two other Post Graduate Diplomas in Marketing from CIM UK and Public Relations from ICM - UK
He is an Adjunct Business Coach at Strathmore Business School where he works under the Owner Manager Program (OMP) a program that focus on imparting skills to SMEs business owners. He is also a Digital transformation Instructor with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
He is also a columnist with Business Daily, The Marketer and CIO tech magazine on emerging technology and big data.
