Timothy P. Schweitzer, MD, is a respected orthopaedic surgeon in Bellevue, Washington. His practice focuses on the upper extremities. Before relocating to Washington state, Dr. Schweitzer worked within the Kaiser-Permanente healthcare system in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Schweitzer has held responsibilities as lead physician of Kaiser-Permanente’s Hand Section, and he guided Kaiser-Permanente's Portland West Side Orthopaedic care delivery site. Dr. Timothy Schweitzer is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Western Orthopaedic Association, and the American Association for Physician Leadership.

Dr. Timothy Schweitzer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Oklahoma and pursued medical studies at the same institution. He graduated from medical school with special distinction, and he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and then he did a fellowship in hand/upper extremity surgery and microsurgery at the Hand Center of San Antonio/University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and he obtained a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. He has been actively practicing clinical medicine since completing his formal education and training in 2005.

Dr. Timothy Schweitzer has also earned a master of business administration degree from The George Washington University. While pursuing his studies there, he was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.

He continues to support the University of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence to this day. An avid sports fan, he follows college basketball and football in his free time. He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
