Tina Tormey
I have had more than 15 years of professional experience in residence life and student conduct, especially in the areas of professional and student staff training, staff selection and recruitment, learning outcome attainment, assessment and development of curricula in student life settings.
Thanks to a brief career in journalism, I also am a skilled writer. I'm a proud INTJ with an inner E brought out by my work in student affairs. My strengths are: Strategic, Deliberate, Individualization, Command, Significance. You want my True Colors: Green and Gold. It depends on my environment and the group around me.
My practice is characterized by applying innovative techniques and ideas to tried and true Best Practices. I continually research trends and find interventions and practices from within the higher ed field and beyond to create effective services for a continually changing, dynamic student body.
My influences:
- Drive by Daniel Pink
- StrengthsFinder
- Start With Why by Simon Sinek
- Brene Brown's work
I'm a little bit CAS Standards blended with a little Rolling Stone.
