Tint Up
The truth about TintUp is a bit hard to imagine. Its the latest in the Me Too team of aggregators popping up. There are some annoying claims that are bizarre and need to be adressed.
1. 48000 Brands trust Tint? Really? And those 48000 brands would be? Do you care to list them? I cant even count that high. 48000 brands huh? Well there are 500 in the Fortune 500, as opposed to Fortune 48000 companies. The truth seems to be exagerrated and that is a problem, with people preferring honesty. Tint recently celebrated 2Million dollars in Revenue in two years time. Now i'm not so good at math, but if they are charging $500 a month, isnt 10,000 x 500 x 4 more like 20Million (Per Month) x 12 months = 200 Million x 2 years about a half a billion. Kind of a stretch. Lets see those 48000. Not there. Any time I have chosen any brand name, any name, it seems to be wide open available. Now how are 48000 brands taken when every single one I have ever chosen available? "Truthiness" is something this sector needs come in terms with and the art of the con. But forget about the we have more users than there are brands in 20 earths syndrome.
2. What is most annoying about Tint is this. They ask you to pay for everything. I mean everything. Want to use a hashtag? Yep. You gotta pay. Go ahead and try it. Try to put a hash tag to pull in a feed, and pops up a message "Thats Extra, upgrade." Want to add an extra user? Yep, that costs extra. Its bizarre. Why is it bizarre? Because the #1 game in town, Rebelmouse is actually charging Zip, nota, not a thing for as many hashtags, as many users, as many accounts as you want. So if you want 100 accounts x use of 25 hashtags, you can have it at Rebelmouse FREE. That would cost several thousands of dollars at Tint. And yet they are bragging about being affordable. I'm not sure who is the advisor for Tint, but its a lady shady.
3. Tint seems to be somewhat shady indeed in more ways than one. Its claims are strange and unusual. Asking you to pay for every move you make is about as palletable as Twitter shaking you down for every time you use a Hashtag. The free concept Tint does not understand very well. Its a little shady. Its like a me too company coming up like Twitter and ask you to pay for #hashtags. Its absurd as it is annoying.
Not a big Tint fan because any time you try and make a move, it taps you on the shoulder and asks for payment. Its claims are way over the top. 4
