I've gone through half of my life as an entertainer. In the early 80's, I recorded a 12' single entitled 'How loud Do You Want To Party'. By the mid-80's, I became popular in Southern California by impersonating Stevie Wonder. My my exploits at time, I was regularly booked by Hollywood agents, such as Ron Smith celebrity impersonators. The private parties would consists of names such as Tony Danza, David Hasselhoff and Carey Grant amongst others
Migrating to Washington in the early 90's, I began performing top 40 music. Still impersononing Stevie Wonder, I added James Brown and Rick James to my tribute act.
As a recording artist, I have recorded songs such as
'Luv Illusion', 'What's tha Flux OJ'. 'Hey Michael' 'Sending out an SOS!' and a host of others.
By the time the millennium spun around, I began to drift around in life. I have experienced homelessness, incarceration and drug abuse.
Since 2007, I have experienced a life time of downs. Upon a 14 month DOC jail sentence, I was released, In 2010, by this time it was time to make a valuable decision. Did I want to spend the rest of my life in and out of prison?
I have to tell you, I have experienced a transition from no-hope to new-hope. I made a change in my lifestyle's stratosphere. Now I'm living a life of viable functionality. My life changing journey has been made possible with the practice of self-discipline, perseverance and internal self belief. I have achieved this plateau by acquiring two collegiate degrees ( AA & BA) over the course of the past 5 years.
My present focus infers great possibilities to help others retain the skills that can uplift 'Community Empowerment'. My personal mantra states, "Change begins with the betterment of Social Welfare". This goal entails a notion to give back the knowledge that I have obtained throughout my research in Community Resilience.I also possess a wealth of life experience that has overcome the previous poor choices and thinking errors of my life. My experience's are more valuable than gold and should be made accessible for anyone seeking to make auspicious differences in their lives.
