Todd Bernier
A graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada, Todd Bernier earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1992. Soon after finishing his undergraduate education, Todd Bernier pursued further academic and professional endeavors at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, where he graduated with a Master of Business Administration. In 1999, he was recognized as a Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute. Todd Bernier completed several examinations to conduct business as a stockbroker in the United States. He completed the General Securities Representative Exam, also known as the Series 7 exam, as well as the Series 63 exam, earning him licenses in both. Currently, Todd Bernier serves as Assistant Vice President of Capital Markets for GE Capital, located in Chicago, Illinois. Responsible for overseeing the structuring and syndication of leveraged loans, Todd Bernier handles deals amounting from $50 to $500 million that comprise of developing a variety of marketing materials. Additionally, as Assistant Vice President, Todd Bernier often represents the company during meetings with clients; he prepares marketing proposals and updates clients on finance conditions. He also contributes his knowledge regarding financial modeling, loan negotiations, and more during the underwriting process. At present, Todd Bernier resides in Chicago, Illinois, and enjoys his free time by participating in physically challenging activities including marathons and Ironman Triathlons. Todd Bernier takes great pleasure in playing the piano and guitar, reading, and travelling all over the world.
