Tom McAlear

Thomas C. McAlear is the Chairman and CEO of the McAlear Management Group LLC. The group specializes in executive consulting, management coaching and development and financial investments. His clients include Booz Allen, Sears Roebuck and Lotus Cars, USA.

Tom’s prior business experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer for DaimlerChrysler Services North America and President and CEO of DaimlerChrysler Insurance Company. He was also President of Mercedes Benz Credit Corporation and COO of Chrysler Financial. He retired from DaimlerChrysler December 31, 2002, after twenty seven years service.

Currently, Tom is affiliated with the following business and charitable organizations:

• Board of Trustees and Treasurer, Drury University, Springfield MO
• Board of Directors, The Hantz Bank and Hantz Holdings Inc.
• Board of Directors, Event Solutions International Inc.
• Board of Directors, Nexus ISR Inc.

In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors of PeopleFirst.com, RouteOne (a joint venture between DaimlerChrysler Services, GMAC and Ford Motor Credit), the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of MI, and the Board of Visitors, Oakland University and as well as being a past Trustee of the Farmington Hills/Farmington Community Foundation. He was recently CEO of Tomcar LTD, an Israeli off road vehicle company and a partner in TradeMark Auto Group, a Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealership in Bryan, Texas.

Tom was born on November 10, 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Drury University in 1972 and his MBA from the Drury Breech School of Business in 1975. He is an inductee in the Drury University Breech Business School Hall of Fame. He has also attended executive management courses at the University of Michigan, Northwestern University and the Harvard School of Business.

Tom and his wife, Ann, reside in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and have three children, Matthew, Michelle and Bradford.
