Tomas J. Allan
Based in the Wanaka area of New Zealand, I’m working within an internship through Otago Polytechnics Centre for Sustainable Practice, since completing a Graduate Diploma with them in 2012.
Fascinated by mobility in all forms, I’m currently engaged in a project to explore, promote & expand the potential opportunities of Pedal-Cycle Electric-Assist (AB class) vehicles within New Zealand.
Considerations leading into this work included identifying the most environmentally-stable & socially-supportive options currently on the table, in a World of decreasing resources vs. increasing demand.
I’ve always held a passion for mobility and transport reduced to their core components & simplest terms, increasing efficiency, manufacturability & ultimately sustainability, across the board.
Current work has been targeted towards the potential for application in New Zealand, although through creating highly flexible & scalable structures, our designs gain global potential.
