Tommy Crowe
Ever get that uneasy feeling that laws were changing, and you wished you had spoken up? Well, it's never too late. In fact, it's a golden opportunity to speak up and speak out.
I came late to the game, but I'm committed to righting a terrible wrong. My work won't stop there either. Until my last dying breath, I pledge to continue to use my instrument (my voice) to further the quest for true equality for LGBT citizens. As a Veteran of the US Army, I lived DADT, and I'm happy to see it die. As a resident of California, I remember the Knight Initiative and lived through Prop 8 (H8), and I want to see the US Supreme Court strike DOMA. I will in my lifetime, see these terrible wrongs righted. We're people too, and if you think otherwise, just come right in front of me and "try" to slap me across the face, because that is exactly what you are doing legislatively to me.
If you got the guts...try it. If you disagree with the laws that have passed creating Second Class citizens, help us in our fight to get it corrected. Don't let your conscience haunt you at night...because it will.
