I am a biologist, freelance data consultant and musician currently residing in the northern rivers region of New South Wales, Australia (Lismore/Byron Bay area). My data management experience is chiefly with biological/ taxonomic data and I am currently involved with the OBIS (Ocean Biogeographic Information System), AquaMaps, WoRMS (World Register of Marine Species) and IRMNG (Interim Register of Marine and Nonmarine Genera) projects. I am the developer of IRMNG, also of the "c-squares" (web mapping/spatial indexing) and "Taxamatch" (taxon name matching) software systems.
