Trash Clothing LLC
Trash debuted their collection at a fashion event in central Florida in 2003, appearing as the only designers with all-male models in guy-liner, chain belts, kilts and tanks covered in profanity. The models smoked cigarettes while they strutted down the runway on dog leashes to songs such as Depeche Mode's "Master and Servant" and the Ramones' "I Want to be Sedated." It was a memorable event that got serious notice.
We began to sell swag to local punk shops and to the retail giant Hustler of Hollywood. We then ventured out and set up shop on the popular "Vans Warp" punk rock tour. We sold our private label merch to fans and dressed bands such as Andrew WK, AFI, the Fags and Rancid.
While touring the U.S., we became inspired by eclectic, vintage, punk neighborhoods such as Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco, Deep Ellum in Dallas, Little Five Points in Atlanta and South Street in Philly. And this inspiration helped TRASH evolve into T.R.A.S.H: "Taking Recycled Apparel Selling to Help," and we officially joined the recycling movement.
Our designs are now printed on eco-friendly material, and the majority of them are recycled clothing and accessories. We search and hand select items in military, thrift and vintage shops, then alter them if need be to make them one of a kind. We seek to promote awareness for living green and saving money by purchasing recycled clothing. Rock 'n roll inspired recycled clothing can still be cool!
We make our hang tags and ship product with whatever's in the recycle bin. Your purchased item will almost always will show up in a cereal box. And in turn, we hope you recycle the box.
Today, we continue to dress musicians, pro skateboarders and their fans. Our ever-changing apparel selection is found on our virtual store and our first boutique is set to open in 2013.
